Dear Amazing Base Lounge Community and Supporters,

What an amazing year 2011 was, and it looks like 2012 is going to be even more incredible!! WOW!!

This final Base Lounge Newsletter comes to you with bitter sweet emotions and a bit of a lump in our throats. The community that we have all built together at Base Lounge has been inspiring beyond words, and the memories from our time together will continue to float through our minds and hearts for a very long time. After nearly three years at 1303 Broad Street, we are moving onward and upward with the expansion of all things Bellyfit® and we could not be happier with this evolution!

And where to now? Well, this is the exciting part!! With nearly 250 Bellyfit Instructors now teaching classes throughout Canada, the USA, and now even in Europe and Japan, we are on a roll!! The Base Lounge has been a very important factor in the expansion of Bellyfit, with class development, instructor training courses, video shoots and much, much more and now it is time to refine our focus. On the main stage currently is marketing, production, distribution and international expansion!! For all of this, we no longer need a studio space 24/7 and so, the Base Lounge is no more and we will not be opening another location. Will we continue to teach local Bellyfit classes? You bet!!!

For those of you who wish to continue receiving news about local Bellyfit classes and events, stay tuned for more information coming very soon. We are very excited to get rolling again and will soon let you know when and where classes will be offered with Alice and Rowan.

AND, for those of you are still looking for fabulous Yoga classes in a gorgeous downtown studio, (1303 Broad - formerly known as Base Lounge! ) we are so very pleased to introduce Barefoot Yoga who will be taking over the studio with their fabulous team of instructors! Please see their website.

It has been an amazing journey in the heart of Victoria with you all. We realize that many of you will miss that amazing space as much as we will, and if you do, go check out Barefoot Yoga or the Victoria Yoga Collective (VYC) for great Yoga downtown.

Eternal gratitude to each and every one of you who shared so much joy, sweat, laughter and love at Base Lounge. What we all created on our mats and on the dance floor was truly magical, monumental and revolutionary! We love you, and thank you!
