Earthdance Victoria Presents! IN:FUSION
a 2 venue fundraiser event for Earthdance 2009 & 2010!

The purpose: generate an influx of energy with focused intent to stimulate & develop our intentional dance community. We may join together again and experience the unity and joy of dancing for celebration, for peace and for the Earth mother :: Gaia. Also, our Earthdance 2009 event cost more dollars than it made, and we have a not-so-secret plan to use your economic support in this event to pay off some bills and, we hope, put some away for next year’s festival!

Join us for this Friday November 27 for a very intimate and interactive evening at Base Lounge, followed by an amazing night of electronic music to lift the heart and the spirit from the damp and dark November nights!

Swelling in primordial pulses and wholloping whoops, the tacit tones of Shane Philip’s didgeridoo hold the power to still listeners into silence or encourage audiences to rise up in a tribal swell of intoxicating spirit—with sometimes but a heartbeat in between. Meanwhile his hands will be skilfully juggling between shaking up rhythms with his aslatua, driving the dance floor with his djembe and sliding out grooves on his Weissenborn-style guitar while his foot taps in earthshaking electronic kicks wherever they might fit. He is a one-man show weaving sounds that inspire audiences anywhere he goes.

Joshua has been djing and promoting conscious events for ten years across western Canada. His dedication to the art of djing has allowed his musical collection to grow into many genres of sound that has opened the doorway for Joshua’s business as a music consultant. Designing playlists for 22 lounges, spa’s and restuarants across western Canada. His dj sets can include an array of sacred worldbeat, inspirational house, organic funk and tribal breakbeats. Joshua loves to bring a sense of spirituality into his dj sets by layering chants and conscious vocals from around the globe. He has developed a continuity with crossing over genre’s into one storybook of sound for your dancing pleasure. Joshua has performed with some of the most successful electronic dj’s and bands across western Canada, performing at festivals such as Shambhala, Diversity,Harvest Castles, Intention and The Big Time Out to name a few.

Jon Tarnoc poet-musician (b.1964) (acoustic and electric guitars, harp, vocals) came out with first album in 2007 (Jon Tarnoc and FatSam, Songs of the Desert, http://www.jontarnoc.com), wrote the songs of Etruscan Birds in 2007-8 in Italy, started playing music with Sophie in March, 2008. Sophie Tarnoc (b. 1980) artist-musician (bass and acoustic guitar, vocals) plays and sings in Etruscan Birds and the electronic concert version of Songs of the Desert. The SOPHIeSTICATED is a duo, re-established in Canada from Hungary, creating a new rendering of Etruscan Birds, Songs of the Desert and Atlantis.
