Native Texan and 25-year yogini, I graduated with High Honors for my 300-hour Yoga teacher certification in 2019, after a 10-year career in therapeutic massage. A life-long dancer and music enthusiast, I’m also an aromatherapist, herbalist, gardener, whole-food plant-based cook, mom to 3 dogs and a cat, and partner of a fantastic Austin musician.
I am also a Zebra, meaning I have hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos, and a Spoonie, i.e. I have Fibromyalgia~ along with everything else that goes along with these two conditions like severe chronic pain, POTS, IBS and migraines. Movement is the BEST thing for me, and my favorite movement is Bellyfit. I own and operate a small chronic pain-friendly and trauma-informed boutique women’s fitness studio, and our little community LOVES Bellyfit!
Movement is crucial to chronic pain management, and Bellyfit provides a somatic, all-encompassing, gentle, strengthening, FEMININE arena for the movement I, and other chronic illness sufferers, NEED. When we are in chronic pain, we tend to harden and forget our Divine feminine. The sculpting and inspiring movement that happens in this practice helps us to reclaim our beauty, worth, softness, curves, and femininity.
