Newmarket’s state-of-the-art recreation complex, the Magna Centre, opened its doors in the summer of 2007.  The Magna Centre is one of the premiere recreation facilities in Ontario. The features include an Olympic-sized and three NHL-sized ice rinks, a 25-metre community pool and 21-metre learning pool, a full-sized gymnasium and walking track, three multi-purpose rooms, a restaurant and a pro shop. It is indeed an extraordinary complex for a community striving to be well beyond the ordinary.
