Meghan Livingston

My Bio

The experience of having and being treated for scoliosis as a child inspired me to choose a career in the health field.  I decided to study Shiatsu at the Shiatsu School of Canada and have been practicing since 1999.  I love the connections I have made with my clients and seeing how Shiatsu has relieved their pain and changed their lives!

In 2003, after having 4 kids, I found myself out of shape, overweight and just uncomfortable in my own skin. So I joined a gym and designed a diet. Over the next year I lost 45 pounds and transformed my body. Not only did I look great, I felt great and my back pain was gone! This was an experience I had to share! I wanted other women to know that they could do this too.  So, In 2009, I added Personal Training to my services.

Why Bellyfit:

Growing up I was a Tomboy. I never really thought of myself as feminine or graceful until I tried a belly dance class at my local gym. One class and I was hooked. The movement, the isolations, the music,  I loved it all!  Belly dance opened my mind to a new perception of myself as a beautiful, strong and sensual woman. I was honoured by an invitation to join a belly dance troupe and was introduced to a whole community of amazing women.  Over the years we have shared so much together, I have been truly blessed!
I love Bellyfit because it’s not just an exercise system, it’s a celebration.  It’s an opportunity to let go, release stress, feel the connection between yourself and the women around you and just be joyful. Yes, it’s a great workout but at the end, instead of feeling exhausted, you feel elated!
