My Bio

Dance exercise has been a passion of mine since my early twenties when I joined the aerobic fitness movement. I have also practiced yoga since 1998.  The mental and physical calm that yoga brings to my life is a precious gift I am devoted to sharing as a yoga instructor.  Since 2004 I found myself drawn to learn African dance, Belly Dance, and Indian dance styles.  I am fascinated by the feminine energy and beauty of expression these dance styles embody. 

Dancing gives me the freedom to feel completely “at home” in my body.  I find joy and a thrill of truly living in the moment when dancing and performing with my troupe sisters. Bellyfit brings all of these parts of my life together in such a beautiful way; I was hooked from the first time I tried it!

Why Bellyfit:

Bellyfit combines the dance styles that I love with yoga for a safe and very effective holistic workout that nourishes my body, mind and spirit. When I practice Bellyfit I know that I am caring for myself in a complete way, not just working my muscles and cardiovascular system, but also providing the spiritual need for beauty and expression.  Bellyfit’s focus on the inner body, the deep core muscles, is very important to aligning and strengthening the back and pelvic area.  I want to create a safe and effective experience for other women to feel healthy, whole and connected in a way that expresses our uniqueness and individual beauty.  Bellyfit does all of this in a fun, fresh and funky way!
